Gear Sector Rail Mount Vertical Grip

The [ Patent Pending ] Gear Sector™ Rail Mount Vertical Grip was designed to provide a low profile, ergonomic solution for increased weapon control. It was designed to bridge the gap between a handstop and a full blown vertical grip. As such it is the shortest of its kind currently on the market at only 2.00″ over the rail surface. We designed them to fit perfectly flush with the Tango Down rail panels for an uninterrupted rail space. They can be mounted anywhere on a picatinny rail but work best when run in tandem with a side mounted hand stop. They provide an excellent reference point when mounted on the lower rail space.
Materials & Construction

The Gear Sector™ Rail Mount Vertical Grip is precision CNC machined from billet 6061-T6 aluminum and finished per Military Specification ( MIL-A-8625F ) Type III, Class II Hard Coat.

Installation

Installation is straight forward. Simply loosen the socket head cap screw. Remove the screw / clamp assembly. Apply a drop of Vibra-Tite® VC3™ ( included ) to the last few threads and allow to dry. Rock the grip onto your rail system, insert screw / clamp assembly and tighten it down with the included allen wrench.

At first I thought this was too short, however upon reflection and shooting it a few times I think this may just be the best VFG I've ever owned. It's extremely light and durable and provides just enough space for a good indexing point. Although it is slightly shorter than my TD stubby, the geometry of the Gear Sector definitely fits my grip better.

Fantastic grip June 15, 2011

I purchased this VFG in DE to use in combination with the Gear Sector handstop on my 10" SBR.  Shooting thumb-break style it gives a rock solid rear point to pull against, but it is short enough to not seriously get in the way when shooting off a sandbag to sight it in.  The grip is fat enough to give a good purchase, and just long enough to get three fingers around the grip and manipulate the tailcap of a mounted light on the side rail.  Its not long enough to hold it broomhandle style, but aides in weapon manipulation when a proper thumb-break grip doesn't work.  Once in place, this grip is not going anywhere.  If you don't need QD capability, the solidness of its mounting system is hard to beat.  The aluminum construction gives it a very solid feeling,  much more so than a plastic VFG.  Their DE color is a little lighter than my FDE Magpul pannels, and the height matches up nicely. Very happy with this purchase, and would highly recommend if you shoot thumb-break style.
