The genesis of modular free float rails has arrived. Building off the TRX Extreme design that revolutionized rail based hand guards; the Alpha Rail® utilizes a new low-profile locking mechanism, which offers unparalleled strength and stability. The Alpha Rail® disperses heat and runs cooler than other close to the barrel rail systems.

With unlimited mounting options and greater heat dispersion, the Alpha Rail® once again sets a new industry standard in modular free float rail design. Comes with three detachable rails and all mounting hardware. Troy® Alpha Rail® is machined from 6061-T6 hardened aircraft aluminum and finished in MIL-SPEC Type III Hard Coat Anodizing. Works with standard AR15/M16 barrel nut.

I cant say enough about this rail, for the price it offers amazing freedom and the fact that it came with 3 rail pieces (unlike my noveske nsr) is awesome.  Its comfortable to shoot and has plenty of space to add lights, vfg's etc.   The ease of installation was moderate, if the rifle is already prepped its easier then a drop in rail.  Some light dremel work and my raifle was ready for the install.

I ordered a Troy Alpha Rail straight from Troy Industries & after about a month of not hearing anything about my order I called. I finally got a hold of someone but they didn't have any info on my order so I cancelled it. I then found SKD & ordered the same product & it was delivered to my house four days later.
Excellent Customer service!

I was looking for a small diameter handguard to get a little weight off of a 18" heavy barrel AR and this worked out great. If you don't need any 3,6 or 9 o'clock rail this is the handguard for you. But it you need some short pieces of rail it comes with three pieces. Great product.
