This rail is dope. Super light. Ratchet with 12 extension and allen driver is only way to go here. Kinda hard to get on square but def doable. Worth the money, locks up solid, great quality. SKD has best prices around.

The product is well made and works as it is suposed to.  I belive if I were doing it over I would get a two piece rail system to avoid removing the front sight base.

Fast shipping, great fit, easy installation February 13, 2013

i received the Daniel Defense Carbine Lite Rail and had to wait for my barrel to come in before I could install it. The barrel nut included in this kit makes barrel installation extremely easy. The rail mount slips on behind the barrel nut and it still free floating after the nut is installed. There is no need to adjust torque to get the holes to line up. The rest of the installation was fairly simple. This rail is compatible with the Adams Arms piston system. The fit is very close, but allows the drive rod to free float. The kit also comes with three ladder rail covers, which I think look great and do not add the weight and bulk like other rail covers. Overall, great product that I highly recommend.

Great rail January 17, 2013

And the price was awesome.  Compared to some other mid-high end rails, this rail is easy to install and is as solid as it gets.  Fits perfect on my carbine with a standard A2 front sight.  My only suggestion is buy the better DD wrench for $10, the one included is notsohotso, slips off really easy and you may end up cutting a knuckle or a finger if you aren't careful.

DD Lite Rail 7.0 August 22, 2012
Reviewer: Anonymous Person from Williamsburg, VA United States
Very satisfied with the rail, very easy installation.  I think the hardest part was getting the factory barrel nut to budge.  I used M16s and M4s throughout my career with the US Marine Corps, but have no real gunsmithing experience other than the field strip.  This was a very easy install.  All in all, could not ask for a better product, but what else would you expect from a company like Daniel Defense?

On a separate note, this rail comes with the allen wrench you need for the locking lug.  No big deal, most people have allen wrenches.  It also includes the proprietary DD barrel nut wrench that you have to attach to a torque wrench.  On the product description, it says this is a required tool, but doesn't say it's included.  To err on the side of preparedness, I went ahead and bought the 10 dollar wrench, just to find out I already had one in the box with the rail.

Really not a big deal, I guess I should have emailed first, but would have been nice if it said it was included.
