ITW Nexus Grimloc Molle D-ring

The Fastex(R) Grimloc Locking D-Ring can be used on any 1" wide piece of webbing and replaces the metal carabiner for attachment of lanyards, weapons, and accessories.

It is fabricated from high strength lightweight plastic, incorporates GhillieTex IR-signature reduction technology, and resists solar heating. Its latch is designed with a detent to maintain an open position if needed and, while strong enough to carry equipment, it will break away with a soldier's weight, eliminating snagging hazards which can cause serious injuries.

The Grimloc Locking D-Ring's release button is textured for ease of use with gloved hands and works as a pump for purging trapped sand or water through integral drain holes. Since the Grimloc is made from plastic, it will not serve as a platform for ricochets or become a secondary projectile.

  • Fits 1" Webbing, integral drain port
  • Low-IR, 80 lb. break strength
  • Color Options: Black / Foliage Green / Khaki (Single Color: Packet of 4)

Used extensively by the United States Army and Marine Corps. MADE IN U.S.A.

Grimlocs are great! January 2, 2014
Reviewer: SuperG from Houston, TX United States
Seen these things for a few years, never tried before. After doing some reading I found that they'll break open at 20 lbs if mounted button down and 80 lbs if up. I've put alternating pairs in several locations on my gear and found them very useful. I hung six grocery bags from one on my maxpedition shoulder bag and had hands free to open my front door. Very practical.

101 Uses and more December 8, 2013
Reviewer: Andrew Harrison from Sylvania Waters, NSW Australia
It seems that anything this company makes is of a high quality and well thought of in its design and manufacture. ITW Nexus Grimloc Molle D-rings are great. Designed to fit on 1” MOLLE webbing or other fixtures these Grimlocs can be used to hold a stash of lanyard held and other items like knives, flashlights, caps, mugs, keys, compasses and protractors (for the old school navigators), pouches, emergency whistles, GPS’s the uses are endless. They are easy to install, secure, silent and do not get in the way.

snap links vs grimlocs September 25, 2012
Reviewer: BTC from Lynden, WA United States
I have used the grimlocs for years and used snap links for many years prior to that.  Grimlocs work better for securing equipment to ones kit because they are specifically built for this purpose.  Grimlocs open easily and wide enough to quickly load and unload gear.  Dummy cord a knife or window punch to a grimloc and you can quickly have it available without a long piece of cord getting in our way.  They lock in place so you don't have to worry about them opening by accident or having a sling or something slipping inside causing a major hang up.
