MSR Packtowl UltraLite, Small

Whether itís massive amounts of sweat from exercising your vast array of manly skills, an impromptu dip in a convenient lake, or an unavoidable storm, sometimes youíre soaking wet in the middle of nowhere and it sucks.

The MSR Ultralite packtowl is the lightest, most compact solution to this problem. It soaks up water just like a shammy, but it weighs next to nothing and dries out in substantially less time than it takes for the Shamwow guy to rise to fame and lose it all in a coke-fueled violent encounter with a hooker.

  • Extra-compact: Folds up small for trips when space is limited.
  • Superlight: Even the largest size weighs less than four ounces, while the smallest comes in at well under an ounce.
  • Fast-absorbing: Soaks up water like a sponge.
  • Quick-drying: Wrings out almost completely dry.

Small, light, absorptive... maybe too small. September 23, 2010

This towel material is great for quickly drying off after the gym, or in the field. The "small" model offered here is just that, maybe a bit too small.

It is perfect for anyone wanting to keep size and weight of gear to a minimum, but for use in the gym day in and day out, I wish SKD offered a slightly larger model as well. I would get both if they were available.

It is VERY absorptive, and does dry quickly after wringing it out. Not a bad product overall, and may be perfect depending on your gear needs.
