PIG/SKD Armor D-fenderoo Groin Protector/Pouch (IIIA)

Its the best thing I have purchased from SKD. I went through a week long rifle course of constant moving and shooting, and I wore the "D-fenderoo" the whole week. We did multiple iterations of moving to/from cover, getting up, down, kneeling, prone, shooting on the move (forwards, backwards) and "ballistic burpees." I didn't even realize I had it on. I thought this might get in the way of me drawing a pistol magazine from the belt during a speed reload - nope. I didn't have any issues with the D-fenderoo. It stayed on, never slapped me back in the d*^k. It provides my lower abdominal area and my groin additional level IIIA protection. It bends with me when I sit, or move around without impeding my movement and its lightweight. I keep an extra tourniquet, gloves, and Narcan in the front pouch pocket. My wife appreciates the fact that I got this. Hopefully I won't have to get shot in the d^*k to prove it was worth the investment.

Great design and high quality materials. Pouch is bigger than I thought and holds my complete tac med kit. Highly recommended.

Last time I had a groin protector it was on the early Interceptor Body Armor that just flopped around, got in the way, could not see how it could offer any protection, and just looked silly. Not so with this one! It fits flush, stays in place, and out of the way. Currently use as an extra-IFAK, but could hold anything. I like how i can access quickly while in seated in a vehicle. I use with an older Mayflower APC and it fits perfect in between the hook velcro flaps that hold the plates in.

I am currently using the pouch as a replacement for the IFAK on my cummerbund, everything fits fine and I can access the pouch with either hand. Going prone is a little uncomfortable, but I would imagine getting shot in the crundle to be markedly less comfortable. Because of that limitation I'd probably recommend this to a home defense or raid PC for situations in which laying on your belly is less likely than a long patrol. I don't know what else to say, it's a groin flap with armor and a big pouch in it. Get one, your significant other will thank you.

Concept is awesome however im 6'4'' and 250....this groin protector could be bigger but would be excellent for most normal sized humans.

To start IÕm 6Õ2Ó and when you attach the groin protector all the way up so there would be no gap between front plate and Kevlar it wonÕt reach the frank and beans. Regardless more protection is always better and this is still a great product and will be ideal for the shorter guys!
