SureFire X300 LED WeaponLight

The SureFire X300 features a high-efficiency LED that generates 170 lumens of brilliant white light focused by a Total Internal Reflection (TIR) lens to produce a tight beam with good reach and significant surround light for peripheral vision. The LED has no filament to burn out or break and generates tactical-level light—enough to overwhelm an aggressor's night-adapted vision—for 2.4 hours per set of batteries. The high-strength aerospace aluminum body is Mil-Spec hard anodized for superior toughness and corrosion resistance, and is O-ring and gasket sealed to make it submersible to 22 meters.

The X300 Rail-Lock® system comes with adapter plates permitting rapid attachment to and removal from either Universal or Picatinny rails. An ambidextrous push/toggle switch provides one-finger operation for either momentary or constant-on operation. Optional pistol grip switches permit operation with the top grip finger, leaving the index finger free to operate the handgun trigger. Other switches are available for operating the X300 when attached to a long gun.

Fits: Handguns and long guns with Picatinny or Universal rails.

The standard in pistol weaponlights June 16, 2011
Reviewer: James Leone from Lancaster, CA United States
I have been using and abusing Surefire lights for over 12 years. The dependability and brightness of LEDs has come along way.I have used the X200A/B models and the X300 blows them away in brightness. The X300 is also adaptable to be used as a carbine light. The only downside to that is storing it in a softcase has often resulted in the light being inadvertently turned on. This means dead batteries when you pull it out. As a handgun light, it's a beast. The muzzle blast can obscure the lens of the light on some handguns with shorter barrels.

Great Light June 14, 2011
Reviewer: sb0494 from Frisco, TX United States
After taking a pistol training class and learning the importance of a white light on a defensive handgun, I ordered one.
- Light and compact.
- Bright
- Well built, with quality you can feel
- Fits tightly on my Glock 19
- Surefire customer service reputation
- Good ergonomics (switch)

This light is carried by most trainers and comes highly recommended.

Other weapon lights are almost as good, at a much lower price point.  But I've learned over the years that the thrill of saving some money fades over time;  if I'm even unsatisfied  with the tool I've purchased, that lives on for as long as I own it.  So, I decided to spend the extra cabbage and get the X300.

An excellent weapon light.   There is a reason it's the number one weapon light used by professionals.  I whole heartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a quality weapon light.

BRIGHT! June 13, 2011
Reviewer: Barrett Lobo from Milwaukie OR, OR United States
I have one of these mounted  on my G22 and as you'd expect from Surefire, it works perfectly. After a 1000 rounds (so far) it doesn't look any worse for wear. I find the rocker is very easy to work, but my hands are slightly longer than average which might be why. If I were to have any complaints about this, it would be that its almost too bright. In a home defense situation (which is the driving reason behind buying it) I found the splash back from the light on the walls which are white to be a bit blinding. Its amazing for lighting up everything, but perhaps a slightly dimmer light would work better for my place.

Great light, perfect switch October 11, 2010
Reviewer: Mark McKinley from Seattle, WA United States
Besides being having a great beam profile and bright LED, the best thing about this light is the switching.  A lot of people don't know this but you can turn the light on momentarily by pushing forward on either side of the switch.  In other words instead of rocking the switch up or down so that it pivots, you can push forward (toward the LED) as if you were pushing a button-style switch.  It's ingenious the way Surefire designed this light.  I use one on my pistol and one on my AR-15 at the 12 o'clock position.

Love it July 2, 2010
Reviewer: Quinn from Tucson, AZ United States
I have a streamlight on my duty weapon and it's ok, I got this for my personal weapon it is by far better.  The amount of light it puts out compared to other taclights I've used is by far greater.
