Tactical Tailor Magna Mag Double Pistol Mag Pouch

by Sean
Magna Mag Double Pouch- Great pouch. I never close the flaps on them. Having the Magnets holds my magazines in without any worries. The best part is that I haven't found a mag that doesn't fit well in it. Switching between weapons depending on what I get issued isn't a problem - it'll hold double stacked and single stacked mags equally as well. It's almost as good as kydex retention and speed without being mag specific. I wear two of these on my belt and I have never lost a single mag. View More SKD Staff Picks

The Tactical Tailor Magna Mag double pistol mag pouch holds your pistol magazines securely with the flaps open or closed. The unique design features a strong magnet sewn into the front of each section of the pouch which locks onto just about any metal pistol mag and wont let go until you want it to. Constructed of heavy duty Cordura nylon, the Magna Mag pouch features hook and loop on the front and back to secure the flaps open or closed and attaches to any MOLLE/PALS style gear with two included short MALICE CLIPSŪ. Available in Black and Coyote Brown.

Dimensions: 5" tall x 6" wide x 1" deep

PLEASE NOTE: While our Magna Mag pouches are designed to function with most pistol magazines, some narrow single stack magazines may be better secured with the top closed.

Strong, Light, Fits all mags, Great retention September 11, 2017

As usual, great service from SKD. These mags are light weight, fit both single and double stack mag very well. retention is via magnets, which work well. Secondary retention is utilized with a nylon strap and velcro and can be easily folded out of the way. It is needed in only the harshest conditions, if at all. The overall build and design quality is excellent. My only nit is with the Malice Clips as they are a pain to use. But they are better than the clips on the HSGI Taco mag pouches, which suck.

Good retention, a little tight on double stacks. October 7, 2015

I like the retention design on these pouches a lot, much better than traditional over the top flaps which can reseal themselves.  These can be run with just the magnetic retention or the over the top flap for greater stability.  They are a little tight with my double stack .45 magazines, so I'm leaving them in to stretch.  Quality product at a good price.  These comes in second to TACO's in my mind.

good fit for glock mags April 3, 2015

I use both 10 and 17 round mags. Good, solid fit both with and without the flap. Magnets interact with the rounds well. Only issue is a slight snag when drawing the mag. Snag happens at the indent on the mag.

Great pouches April 3, 2015

The magnetic retention is awesome. I was held upside down by some bullies trying to shake out my lunch money. Needless to say the money fell out but my my mags held tight as if the hands of a fully grown chimpanzee were grasping them in a primate Kung fu grip. Highly recommend.

Well made; give it a shot... January 27, 2015

This magazine pouch is extremely fast. The added retention of the magnets while running the pouch open topped is great. I wouldn't use this pouch for primary reloads while closed, the velcro is not as quick as traditional snap secured duty gear, but with the magnets & secure fit of my Glock mags I'm not worried about losing one. If you can put it on your duty belt it will save, not only time, but also space. The triple Magna mag pouch might take up as much space as my traditional nylon duty gear magazine pouch did, so the double mag pouch frees up prime real estate for sure.
Update: purchased the triple pouch for gunbelt, now run the double on a vest. Triple is the way to go.
