    First Spear slick PC

Been using this plate carrier almost everyday for 5 months now. I’ve ran soft armor plates and it had worked tremendously. I don’t suggest using hard armor unless they are fairly lightweight. I suggest hand washing but it will hold up if you throw it in a machine.

    First Spear

Excellent plate carrier, well made, comfortable, and low profile. Maybe I did something wrong but I did pair with medium L210 plates and I had to use a plate backer to get, what I felt was, adequate Velcro engagement, wasn't a big deal. Would probably fit large plates just fine

Very discrete, shoulder straps a bit long

Posted by Ry on 30th Mar 2017

Good materials, have worn it 2x now for classes/competitions under a t shirt and it is hardly noticeable when wearing darker clothes. I'm using 10x12 plates and it will fit them but it will be a bit loose vertically but with some modification to the fabric extra stitching by folding the top of the vest very slightly it will be snug. I ordered a medium originally but my 10x12 plates wouldn't fit so I got a large. The only issue with a large vs Medium is the shoulder straps, they are too long I'm 6'2-3" 200 lbs and the Velcro is about 1" away from the end in order for the front and back to cover the eternal notch and T1/2, not very much real estate left to work with unless my chest grows about 2 more inches. Great vest for it's intended purpose though. Very comfortable and discrete

    Had what I needed

Posted by Sean G on 20th Apr 2016

SKD had the gear I needed. The main company was on backorder but SKD facilitated my needs in a timely manner, which was faster than I expected since I work overseas. Not only was SKD fast and resourceful, but they were less expensive as well. Great company!

Great carrier, needs a bit more adjustment

Posted by Dennis on 8th Oct 2015

Love this plate carrier. It is a lot more comfortable than my issued one. And skd got it out to me quick as I was leaving very soon. Only thing I'd change is that the XL's side straps are meant for a fat man not a tall, built man and they are fixed in the rear. It would be better if I could tighten it up in the front and rear. As it is it is just a little looser than I prefer and I can't adjust it anymore. Just because someone is an XL doesn't mean they are a fat body. Otherwise, amazing piece of kit.
